Charles has been a pastor and pastoral counselor for 17 years, including the past seven years as a military chaplain. An experienced counselor and trainer, he holds a Master of Divinity degree, an MA degree in Pastoral Counseling, and certification as a PREPARE/ENRICH marriage counselor. He is also a trainer in SafeTALK and ASIST suicide intervention skills.

Zobeyda (“Zoby”) is currently a Classical Conversations tutor. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and founded her own Spanish language education center in Ecuador (her home country). She has taught Spanish to elementary, high school, and adult students for more than 12 years.

Charles & Zoby have been married for over 21 years, and are the proud parents of Sophia and Lizzy. They have been enjoying the adventures of homeschooling for the past five years.

They created “KOALA Parenting” as an online community with the goal of empowering homeschool parents to answer God’s call in their children’s education.
